Description

Specifications include, but are not limited to:  Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, keeping multiple ongoing tasks moving with the ability to prioritize as required to keep the project on track.  Maintain Owner’s files documenting project implementation.  Provide advice and solutions for issues involved in the planning, design and construction of the project.  Obtain required approvals and permits.  Ensure documents comply with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.  Ability to utilize project management software.  Review and critique work performed by consultants and contractors.  Develop and follow a project management plan for the project, inclusive of success metrics and benchmarks.  Ensure project-specific quality assurance plans are being followed.  Monitor program to ensure market uncertainty and variability is accounted for to ensure project is delivered within budget.  Coordinate and participate in public and/or vendor outreach meetings.  Ensure that the design progress and permitting tasks are effective, thorough and on time and within budget.  Review design details and offer recommendations on the design, contract documents, specifications, scheduling and phasing of project as they are developed and finalized.  Coordinate preparation and issuance of permit applications, as well as resolve issues with permitting agencies.  Provide input on constructability and offer value engineering ideas as applicable.  Receive, monitor, and archive submittals, including schedules, shop drawings, engineering and architectural plans, and erosion control plans.  Work with engineer of record to ensure construction administration tasks are thorough and up to date.  Manage and document weekly project status meetings for discussion of job progress, procedures, cost, disputes/claims and scheduling.  Review and comment on contractors’ submitted critical path schedules and updates.  Hold Contractor accountable to schedule and in keeping schedule current.  Monitor for potential claims or disputes, recommend paths for resolution and manage to successful outcomes.
