Specifications include, but are not limited to: Development and/or delivery of training programs for educators and others working in adult education using a variety of instructional and performance support methods. Trainings will improve RI adult education providers’ understanding of their role in the larger state and national adult education field, and/or their capacity to increase student persistence and implement formative and summative assessments. Organizational training can take place during weekdays, evenings, or occasionally weekends, at local adult education providers, or at one of CCRI's four campuses. Please provide your availability for scheduling during all of these times. Organizational commitments to training programs are frequently in a state of flux and uncertainty. Unless confirmed in writing by Workforce Partnerships, instructor cannot assume any future CCRI training assignments for any purpose other than general discussion. Instructors must, at all times, represent CCRI in a positive manner. It is expected that instructors will be dedicated professionals and will share the Division’s commitment to the mission of the College; to quality customer service and to continual improvement. Training professional / consultant knowledge of the learning and development process is essential for this role. Training professional / consultant will be able to set training goals and objectives, analyze needs, design appropriate solutions and evaluate effectiveness. They will have delivered training in an interactive, engaging and persuasive manner. Their personal attributes will include being independent, outgoing, student-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative, and they will have a genuine interest in professional development for adult educators. Previous experience delivering training in partnership with an accredited institution of higher education highly desirable.
