Specifications include, but are not limited to: Range Opening- After March 1 and no later than March 30 of each year the contractor shall: Backstop Berms 1. Remove tarps (3,500 square feet each) and sandbags from the backstop berms and place in storage at the Great Swamp Management Area or other location (see Alternate 1 on bid form). Tarps shall be carefully removed so as to not disturb the ballistic sand backstop berm beneath. 2. Evaluate the condition of the two (2) backstop berms. Note any erosion, divots, and areas to be patched. Conditions shall be photo-documented and reported to RI DEM. 3. Deliver 15 CY of ballistic sand meeting approved project specifications and submittals. 4. Repair, re- grade, and compact backstop berms with ballistic sand to approved project specifications and submittals. 5. Provide poly sheeting to cover remaining ballistic sand stockpile and provide appropriate method to secure the sheeting. Limestone Filter Beds 6. Remove any debris, sediment, sand that has accumulated in the limestone filter beds and ensure functionality. Removed materials may be disposed of on site. Target Stand Holders 7. Evaluate the condition of the PVC target stand holders. Note any upheaval, cracked and/or broken holders. Conditions shall be photo-documented and reported to RI DEM. 8. Remove and dispose of broken PVC holders or those that heaved. Furnish and install replacement PVC target stand holders according to approved project specifications and submittals. Assume 20 individual PVC holders will need to be replaced each year.
