Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Review the existing DDC control systems in each school and verify that the existing control front end communicates with all subpanels, devices, and control points. Note any panels or devices that are not communicating and present a separate proposal to repair or replace any defective devices or software to ensure communication with all control panels and devices. The Owner reserves the right to have any such repairs or replacements performed by the contractor of his choice. Any delays caused by a contractor who is not the successful bidder shall result in an extension of the contract deadline.2. Furnish and install a new, non-proprietary front end controller in each school and provide all components, software, and programming to enable the new front end controller to communicate with all existing DDC panels, subpanels, and devices without any other new equipment. The same front end hardware and software shall be installed in each school such that the operator interface at each school shall use the same graphics and commands for the same functions, such that the facilities operators at any school can operate the systems at each of the schools affected by the project.3. Provide all programming as necessary to implement the sequences of operation in the specifications.4. Verify that all existing control points, devices, and sequences of operation are fully functional in each school.5. Provide one full year parts and labor warranty coverage for all new hardware and software installed as part of this project.
