Specifications include, but are not limited to: STAGE ONE To gather information from elected officials, City administration, and the public to determine what is needed, what is desired, and what can be done to promote communication and provide on-line services with the general public; To work with elected officials and City administration to develop a preliminary/outline design; To assist in drafting specifications for a Request For Proposal (RFP) to provide website design, implementation and hosting services; 7 STAGE TWO Participate as a member of the RFP response evaluation team charged with making a recommendation on award of contract; Oversee the design and implementation process to ensure that it conforms to the pre-developed needs of the City The website should be intuitive, flexible, interesting and easy for City staff to maintain. The project includes using a content management system. The new platform must allow for all staff to easily update and maintain the content on the site and must seamlessly integrate with the most modern social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Video, blogs, etc). All site messaging will be supported by modern media through the use of items such as videos, imagery, mapping, as well as items presented through interfaces with third party sites (i.e. Google maps). The architecture and CMS must allow for flexibility in things such as navigation structures and page components to ensure that the website experience is superior.
