Specifications include, but are not limited to: Unarmed Security Services. The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract with one qualified source, through competitive negotiation, for the provision of unarmed, uniformed security services for the University of Mary Washington, an Agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The University of Mary Washington seeks the services of a fully qualified, professionallytrained, uniformed security officer service for the protection of personnel, students, visitors and property. The contractor shall have the ability to furnish uniformed security officers at the Center for Professional and Graduate Studies (CGPS) Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday; no Sunday support will be needed. Support hours for The Simpson Library will be requested on an as needed basis and will include nights and weekends; including Sunday support. The University may also require the unarmed uniformed security service during special campus events on any of its properties. The service must be available to any property that the University currently owns, leases, or operates; and to any property that will be operated, leased or owned by the university during the term of the contract.
