A Site Preparation 1 The vendor is responsible for blocking off the work area to ensure safety during the project. The proposed block-off plan must be submitted to RIPTA for approval prior to the commencement of work. 2 Verify dimensions and conditions of the existing doors on-site prior to fabrication. 3 Protect adjacent finishes, fixtures, and areas during the project. B Demolition and Removal 1 Remove the existing door frames, including all frames, doors, transoms, and related components. 2 Dispose of all removed materials in compliance with local regulations. C Replacement 1 Remove the existing and install a new commercial aluminum single storefront system and single side door. The system should include: • Standard commercial hardware (closers, hinges, locks, and panic bars). • Glass: 1” clear insulated glass. • Transoms above each door. • Existing decorative bar moldings above windows shall be reused where necessary. 2 Ensure proper sealing, weatherproofing, and alignment of the door system. 3 Caulk and seal all joints, ensuring water-tightness. 4 Apply a durable clear coat finish D MATERIAL 1 Vendor must be able to provide the similar style to the existing single-door storefront and adjacent side door equipped with keypad access 2 Frame Material: High-quality aluminum, suitable for commercial applications. 3 Glass: 1” clear insulated glass. 4 Hardware: Durable and ADA-compliant, including closers, hinges, locks, panic bars, handles and auto operator
