Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Snow is normally plowed downhill using a vehicle with an axle weight of 3,000 lbs. maximum. The snowplow blade should be modified with heavy rubber cutting edge attached to the bottom, or with shoes designed to keep the steel blade from contacting the concrete floor surface. The steel blade should be kept one half-inch above the floor surface to avoid damage to concrete, expansion joint systems, joint sealants and traffic topping systems. • Snowplowing should be done away from joints, not across them. • Snow is normally plowed to specific locations within the facility where a “Bobcat” or industrial snow blower can be used to throw the snow over the side. The “Bobcat” or snow blower must be handled so as to avoid damage to concrete panels, connection hardware and expansion joints. Snow is to be removed from temporary drop points.
