Specifications include, but are not limited to: The grounds to be serviced at each location by the Vendor include all public access area walkways, including sidewalks, steps and handicap walkways and ramps, as well as parking lots, all of which must be cleared of snow prior to 7:30 a.m. Building superintendents will contact the awarded Vendor before 7:30 a.m. if it is determined that the Vendor needs to be called in. Notwithstanding, snow plowing and snow removal are to be automatic when depth of snow reaches three (3) inches. Total snowfall depths shall be verified by the daily recorded data taken from the RI Department of Transportation located at Two Capitol Hill, Providence, RI. The entire width of the sidewalks must be cleared around the buildings. In addition, there must be automatic snow removal from any area that prevents access to sally ports (i.e., secured, controlled entryways) or reduces access to sally ports. The Vendor shall not pile or dump snow onto roadways, sidewalks, curb cuts, handicap entrances, or around trash cans and dumpsters that may block or hinder access to these areas. The Vendor is required to remove any snow they have placed on these areas.
