Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vendor must have all equipment and personnel necessary to plow and remove snow as required in this RFP, and bidders responding to this RFP are required to list that equipment on the “Equipment Information” sheet attached hereto as Appendix A. The Vendor must comply with all applicable licensing and permitting requirements for this type of service. A copy of all required local, state, and/or federal license(s) or permit(s) must be submitted with the RFP response. Submission of a bid is acknowledgement that any and all work performed in relation to this RFP will be performed by personnel holding the required valid local, state, and/or federal license(s) and/or permit(s). The Vendor must maintain 24-hour/7-day-per-week communication equipment, including both mobile and office telephones, and must provide emergency contact numbers in order for court personnel to direct operations before, during, and after a snow event. All shoveling, snowplowing, snow removal, sanding/salting, and calcium chloride applications must be completed before 7:30 a.m., seven days a week. Shoveling/Snowplowing is to be automatic when depth of snow reaches three (3) inches. The Vendor shall not pile or dump snow onto roadways, sidewalks, curb cuts, handicap entrances, or around trash cans and dumpsters that may block or hinder access to these areas. The Vendor is required to remove any snow they have placed on these areas. After shoveling, snowplowing and, snow removal, the Vendor shall determine in its professional opinion and after consulting with the building superintendent whether sanding and/or a deicing agent should be applied to ground surfaces. A sand/salt combination must be used on parking lots and 90-92% pelletized calcium chloride must be used on all sidewalks and walkways. The sand/salt combination is not to be applied to sidewalks and walkways.
