A Cleaning will consist of removing all debris that has collected on beach and park property. Approximately one hundred (100) waste carts/barrels with HD plastic liners (liners will be supplied by the town and are to be replaced by the contractor daily) located directly on the beach, in the parking areas and surrounding seawall property, as well as approximately twenty (20) additional barrels located in the center of Town, inclusive of the following specific locations: Center of Town Number of Barrels Seawall along Ocean Road 12 Veteran’s Park 2 Gazebo Park 6 This includes removing all loose debris/litter including cigarette butts from the beach grounds surrounding both North and South Pavilion, cabanas, North Beach Club House, grassy area at the seawall, West Lot, South Lot, North lot, Cabana Lot, and the grass areas in both Gazebo and Veterans Park. The barrels located in the center of Town will require that all debris in a twenty-five (25) foot perimeter around each barrel be picked up. B. The contractor will be responsible to empty up to sixteen (16) 65-gallon rolling waste carts or barrels with HD plastic bag liners in and around both south and north pavilions. Liners will be supplied by the Town and are to be replaced by the contractor daily. C Pickup and removal are to be completed daily (seven (7) days a week) prior to 8:00 AM, regardless of weather conditions. Exceptions to this rule can only be granted by the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee in the case of extreme conditions. Any vehicles used on the beach must use caution and use reasonable discretion in not making tire tracks that may disturb beach goers or cause other beach related safety concerns. Contractor shall not operate vehicle(s) on or across the ADA accessible beach PathMats located on the beach. D. The 65-gallon covered rolling waste carts located on the beach will be in either an enclosed Trex and pressure treated wood corral with two (2) 65-gallon waste carts each; one (1) recycled waste cart and one (1) general trash waste cart or two (2) general trash waste carts. In addition, at times or during special events waste carts may be added and left as “stand-alone” without corrals in other locations on the beach, in parking areas or on one of the pavilions. Corrals are designed with easy front panel removal for waste cart removal and emptying. Contractor must make sure that all front panels are locked and pinned in place each morning throughout the term of this contract. E. Along with general trash waste carts, recycled waste carts must be emptied each day and secured with a HD zip tie, supplied by the Town, to prevent access from the public. An 8-cubic yard dumpster has been set aside in the north lot for recycled material only. Vendor is required to dump the contents of the recycling bags into the “Recycling Dumpster” each day (and keep the bags separate) as the bags are not allowed in the recycling stream. F. The Town of Narragansett reserves the right to utilize the trash receptacle and corral design of its' choosing. This includes altering the type and or number of barrels during the designated contract period, with the stipulation that the number of barrels does not exceed a maximum of one hundred and fifty (150) waste carts/barrels in total for this contract.
