The objective of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified vendors to create a statewide Destination Stewardship Plan for the entire state of Rhode Island that advances responsible visitation that fuels economic vitality and enhances quality of life for all Rhode Islanders. Success is achieved through a culture of respect, inclusivity, and collaborative governance, with both the tourism industry and visitors acting as stewards of the state’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. The Stewardship Plan will inspire collaboration between State, Regional Tourism Organizations, and the tourism industry that fosters innovation, environmental sustainability, and a legacy of stewardship, leaving the state of Rhode Island better for future generations.
