Specifications include, but are not limited to: Hosting of the Summer Residential Governor's Schools forHumanities and Visual and Performing Arts. The Virginia Department of Education, herein after referred to as VDOE, is seeking sealedproposals from qualified Offerors to host the 2010 2014 (FY2011 2015) Summer ResidentialGovernor's School for Humanities and the Summer Residential Governor's School for Visual andPerforming Arts. These schools provide intensive, academically or artistically innovative and rigorousprograms for 28 days to high school gifted students (rising eleventh and twelfth graders). The selectedcontractor will serve as the host site and fiscal agent for each of the residential programs. Dates to beagreed upon will include up to five staff-only days for planning and evaluation of the program and notmore than 28 days of instruction with students.
