Specifications include, but are not limited to: The ITC Data Center will be a stand-alone facility, housing computing and telecommunications equipment. The facility critical mechanical and electrical site infra-structure will have aspects of both Tier II and Tier III data center classifications. A wide variety of computing systems equipment will occupy the ITC Data Center, including high performance computing clusters with significant heat loads, standard computing equipment supporting general Windows and Unix-based service environments, equipment operating the University’s ERPs, storage and infrastructure, tape libraries and telecommunications equipment. The raised floor computer room is sized at 5,500 SF to allow for expansion of servers and associated equipment. An adjacent outdoor equipment yard will accommodate an emergency generator, fuel tanks and other exterior mechanical cooling and electrical equipment and will be visually screened with a site wall and landscaping. A service driveway will provide access to the equipment yard and the building lower level, for equipment delivery and maintenance . A pedestrian entrance and parking will be located at the building upper level
