Description

The NKSD plans to contract for school nutrition software, including meal planning, nutritional analysis, point of sale, student management, and more, to service 8 school cafeterias throughout North Kingstown.

The NKSD is seeking specialized software for the operation of the School Nutrition Program for both front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house services, including Meal Planning, Nutritional Analysis, Point-of-Sale-Operations, Student Management, Eligibility, Online Parent Services, Inventory, and Production Records. The software will be utilized to operate and manage the cafeteria operations. See attached Exhibit A for a more detailed list of software capabilities.
The NKSD operates the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and After School Snack, NKSD currently uses NutriKids software to operate and manage 8 schools, including 10 points of sale.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The name of the company submitting the proposal and the words “School Nutrition Software RFP #2024-32” should be printed on the front of each sealed proposal envelope or package, along with the date for receipt of proposals specified above. Proposals submitted via telegraph, facsimile (FAX) machine, telephone, or other electronic means, including but not limited to email, in response to this RFP will not be accepted.
All proposals are confidential and will not become public knowledge until opened. Child Nutrition Services reserves the right to award and/or reject any and/or all proposals and waive any technicalities or irregularities. With this solicitation, the NKSD intends to award one contract and does not anticipate multiple awards. Regardless, the NKSD reserves the right to make multiple or partial awards. This contract will not be awarded solely on the basis of cost. Rather the contract for this service will be awarded to a responsible vendor who best meets the needs of the NKSD based on services, abilities, reputation, performance, and cost.
