City of Boise joins the Idaho Purchasing Group

The City of Boise has officially joined the Idaho Purchasing Group, one of BidNet’s regional e-procurement solutions, providing vendors throughout Idaho easy online access to upcoming solicitations. The City of Boise invites all vendors to register online at www.bidnetdirect.com/idaho/cityofboise.

The regional purchasing group connects local governments with vendors looking to do business with public agencies. On the Idaho Purchasing Group, vendors seeking business with participating agencies can register online to gain access to a single point of entry for opportunities throughout Idaho. By posting upcoming bids and RFPs on the Idaho Purchasing Group, the City of Boise ensures an entire community of vendors can view their solicitation, download documents, and receive notification of addenda. The vendors self-register and ensure their contact information is up to date.

The City of Boise welcomes all local vendors to register to receive notification to its upcoming solicitations as well as the upcoming bids and RFPs from statewide bid opportunities on the Idaho Purchasing Group. Registered vendors have the option to upgrade their service to receive these statewide opportunities.

“The registration is so easy and intuitive that we don't even have to include a manual on how to do this [for our vendors]. Also it's real time. Vendors can register today and download documents today, and that was a real plus for us” stated Colin Millar, Purchasing Manager/Procure to Pay Manager for the City of Boise.

Vendors may register on the Idaho Purchasing Group at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/idaho. Vendors may also contact BidNet’s vendor support team at 800-835-4603 option 2 with any questions regarding registration or the bid system.

Other local Idaho government agencies looking to switch from a manual bid process, please contact Idaho Purchasing Group for a demonstration of the no-cost sourcing solution.
