BidNet Direct announces that the City of Newport and 14 other local government entities are now utilizing the Rhode Island Purchasing Group. The City of Newport spearheaded the transition to the online procurement solution which provides an efficient way for companies to do business with local government agencies throughout Rhode Island. The Rhode Island agencies that have recently joined this year include the cities of Central Falls, East Providence, Newport, Providence, Warwick, Barrington Public Schools, Providence Public Schools, South Kingstown Public Schools, Westerly Public Schools, and the Towns of Jamestown, New Shoreham, North Kingstown, Scituate, South Kingstown, and Westerly.
