The U.S. Department of Labor is soliciting offers from qualified construction contractors that have the qualifications and experience for the design and construction services on the Center Redevelopment at the Arecibo Job Corps Center, using the Master Plan dated, December 4, 2019, and the Solar Farm Study, dated November 13, 2019, as the basis of design for the development of the project. The project shall include, phased construction of new buildings totaling to approximately 51,400 gross square feet. Demolition of existing buildings, structures and utilities. The work includes, but is not limited to, site improvements in the form of general landscaping, roads, parking, septic and storm drainage with connection to all utility lines, which includes a new six inch (6”) water service brought into the Center from PR 682, and site lighting and security. The work includes services for design and construction for the renovation or additions in building(s) 13, 15, 18, and 34 at the Arecibo Job Corps Center. Pricing for the option shall include the design and construction of a solar farm to supply the Center’s electrical load requirements up to 30% of its total use as recommended in the Solar Farm Study. The estimated cost range is more than $10,000,000. This is a 100% small business set aside acquisition under NAICS Code 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million.
