Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor shall provide full service and/or recharging services as requested for the ANSUL Model 10 fire extinguishers found in Black and White CHP Enforcement Vehicles. B. Contractor shall provide one (1) or more services for fire extinguishers as follows: 1) Spent CO2 Cartridges - Contractor shall inspect, fill and test ten (10) pound extinguisher cartridges with CO2 to fit the ANSUL Model 10 fire extinguishers. 2) Empty Fire Extinguisher Shells - Contractor shall provide five-year hydrostatic testing of extinguisher shell and hose on an “as needed” basis. 3) Discharged Fire Extinguishers - Contractor shall provide full inspection and recharging services as follows: Contractor shall disassemble the extinguisher, remove any remaining powder, inspect rubber seals and O-rings, discharge hose and nozzle, fill-cap and indicator and replace as needed, inspect all sealing surfaces, refill the CO2 cartridge, hydrostatically test the fire extinguisher shell (if required), fill the extinguisher with the correct quantity of new powder, reassemble and certify it for use. C. Each CHP Area Office shall ship cartridges, shells and/or extinguishers to the Contractor’s place of business. Each CHP shipment shall include CHP return shipping address and a contact person with telephone number. CHP will pay for all shipping to the Contractor. D. Contractor shall return equipment to the CHP Area Office of origin, within ten (10) calendar days following receipt.
