Specifications include, but are not limited to: CVSWMD is considering two options in the development of the HHW facility: (1) purchase property and build; (2) acquire property with an existing building(s) that can be retrofitted for an HHW facility. CVSWMD’s goal is to acquire property for the HHW facility in the Barre-Montpelier-Berlin area. The amount of land to be acquired is approximately 5 acres, which will enable CVSWMD to expand operations in the future, as the HHW program grows and to accommodate new related future product stewardship programs. Once a site is selected, the civil engineer will survey the property, design site plans, and prepare permit applications. CVSWMD plans to issue a Design-Build RFP for the design and construction of the building after a site is chosen.
