Specifications include, but are not limited to: A.The City of Dover Police Department is soliciting proposals relating to the furnishing and installation of Chiller units and pumps located in the basement mechanical room and the Cooling Tower unit located outside on the west side of the Dover Police Department building. The overall responsibility of the Contractor(s) is to coordinate, plan, manage, and perform activities described in this section to provide proper cooling for the Dover Police Department during warm climate conditions.B.The contractor’s responsibility shall include, but is not limited to, removing the existing equipment and replacing it with the equipment itemized in the specifications of this document Chiller Unit and replacing it with the equipment identified in the specifications of this documentas required, connecting or upgrading any of the electricalpower, furnishing and installing the equipment and pumps, any trenching refrigerant piping and power from the building to the equipment, all power wiring, disconnect switches, motor starters, fuses and breakers to be installed by the contractor in accordance with code requirements, pouring any concrete pads if needed for the installation of the new chillerand cooling tower, programing existing controls to allow the equipmentto operate, and starting theequipment for proper operation as needed.C.All the equipment shall be installed in the same area as the existing chiller unit located in the basement mechanicalroom and cooling tower located outside on the west side of the Dover Police Department building. All power wiring, disconnect switches, motor starter, fuses and breakers shall be installed by the contractor in accordance with code requirements.
