Specifications include, but are not limited to: Sealed bids are being accepted to install the hardware and hang the 96-count fiber optic cable from 22880 Sussex Highway (behind the Lowes complex) to Sussex Highway pole 30-310/603, North on Sussex Highway to pole 37-310/1956, bore 2” conduit under Sussex Highway from pole 37-310/1956 to pole 37-310/1954. Then proceed from pole 37-310/1954 North near Old Furnace Road to pole 55- 310/2029. Then from pole 37-310/1954 South crossing Tharp Road and proceeding to pole 24-210/665 near Stargate Diner. The entire run we will have 11 Storage loops as directed by the owner. All storage loops will be 100’ of cable minimum. All materials will be supplied by the City of Seaford. All splicing will be done by the City and is not to be included in this bid. Section 1 Start at pole 30-310/609 and leave enough wire to be pulled through the conduit and into the vault for splicing. Install the 96-count fiber optic wire in place of the 12- count fiber optic wire to pole and lash the 12-count fiber wire to the 96-count wire. The 12-count fiber optic wire must remain in service until the splicing is completed. The 96-count wire will continue to pole and run north to pole 37-310/1956 and then continue underground to pole 37-310/1954 and a storage loop will be placed there for splicing process. Section 2 Start at pole 37-310/1954 with a storage loop and go North to pole 55-310/2029 near Old Furnace Road. Section 3 Start at pole 37-310/1954 with a storage loop and go South to pole 24-310/665 near 23415 Sussex Highway (Stargate Diner). The successful bidder must present the City Manager with a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid. A performance bond will also be required equal to the agreed scope of work.
