Specifications include, but are not limited to: Pushing and clearing all debris offthe rail line and/or picking up and hauling away eligible debrisfrom the rail line right of way to include the following: 1. Hazardous leaning trees: defined as six inches or larger in diameter and measured 4.5 feet above ground level in the interest of public safety. 2. Limbs are defined as two inches or larger in diameter; and/or 3. Stumps. Stump removal and fill material isto be completed with prior approval from VTrans’ Authorized Representative. that present immediate threats to lives, public health and safety. Woody debris removal is often required after storms producing heavy winds, rain, or ice. Chipping is the preferred method of disposal if payment is part of any reimbursement from a declared FEMA disaster. Work shall consist of providing debris removal within the right-of-way on the state-owned rail lines(see statewidemap of rail lines) within the first 70, non-consecutive hours. Before and after pictures must be provided by the Contractor for each debris removal work assignment. All Debris Removal will require the completion of the Debris Management Information Form, which will include the following • Identification of what type of debris will be collected; • Where will it be collected, including GPS coordinates; • Estimated total quantity; • Identification of whether debris will be either chipped in place or hauled away to be disposed of; • Where will it be disposed of, including physical address and GPS coordinates; and • Debris removal load ticket or landfill receipt(s).
