Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project will generally consist of Architectural, Engineering, Permitting and Bid Document Preparation Services required to relocate airline offices and reworking existing baggage screening areas to upgrade and optimize current baggage handling systems by providing in-line (2 line system) baggage screening. The proposed project and new system will plan and simulate the collection and conveyance of each airlines’ outbound baggage (at check-in) into a single conveyor that transitions to an in-line conveyor system, combining checked baggage from various airlines, that continues to TSA's explosive detection system (EDS) and terminates at a carousel (makeup) area, where bag handlers will manually separate bags by flight. Alternates will need to be developed to determine the most economical, and least disruptive solution to the airport, airlines and TSA.
