Specifications include, but are not limited to: - Develop and implement appropriate professional development activities for districts and teachers. - Organize and implement Idaho State Content Standards in Science based Professional development; -Contact districts and/or principals to identify classroom teachers to act as instructional leaders in science within the district or school; -Communicate with school and district administrators and teacher leaders to determine school and district needs; -Collaborate with other regional coaches and the SDE for strategic planning and developing common resources; -Conduct and facilitate classroom observations for teachers to identify and communicate bright spots and spaces for growth; -Facilitate collaboration on implementation of science standards between teachers/schools/districts and community partners; -Provide SDE with materials developed under contract to be distributed to Idaho teachers; -Provide the SDE bi-weekly Reports on engagements with teacher, school and district contacts, activities, collaborations and note hours worked according to tasks. -The coach will provide two additional reports to the SDE, including a legislative report in December and an annual report in June.
