Specifications include, but are not limited to: Lot #1 – West Capitol Parking Lot (Legislative Parking Lot) Lot #2 – West/Northwest Capitol Parking Lot Lot #3 – Northwest/North Capitol Parking Lot Lot #4 – Heritage Center Parking Lot Snow is to be removed from all parking lots when any amount of snowfall is experienced. Within the contractor’s capability, snow in all four (4) lots will be removed by 7:00 a.m. The State requires snow removal for Lot #4, the Heritage Center Parking Lot referenced in Item 1, on Saturdays and Sundays as the Heritage Center is open on the weekends to the public. The same pricing structure and specifications established in the Contract will apply for snowfall received and the lot will require clearing by 7:00 AM on Saturdays and by 7:00 AM on Sundays. Snow may be stored at the edge of parking lots. Final cleanup and removal of excess snow buildup will be the responsibility of state forces. The Contractor shall take care to prevent damage to the parking area, sidewalks, signs, lawns and plantings. Any damages shall be reported to the Procurement Officer. For the purposes of snow removal, the successful bidder must own, at a minimum, the equipment consisting of a skid-steer (50HP with snow removal equipment such as a bucket, blade, or broom) and an all-wheel-drive pay loader (minimum 4-yard or greater). The payloader is expected to do the bulk of the snow removal as a payloader will get right down to the asphalt. A tractor with a pull-behind blade will not be acceptable.
