Specifications include, but are not limited to:The DART identification number for this class is LRV.005.M Course shall be 24 contact hours in length with at least 50% of the instruction being conducted in the shop. Class size shall not exceed: 10 LRV Mechanics. The vendor must possess familiarity of the DART Light Rail System and an in-depth knowledge of the Stone Safety HVAC system used on the DART light rail vehicle. The vender must also demonstrate the ability to transfer knowledge and skills to learners to achieve the following instructional activities and objectives: General and Specific Safety Precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) Explain A/C operating principals and equipment function. Demonstrate proper use of test and maintenance equipment to include recovery equipment. Ability to identify all components within the Stone Safety HVAC package Read and Translate Stone Safety HVAC wiring schematic's Perform maintenance function's that include un-loader adjustments and replacement, Removal & Replacement of the Thermo-expansion valve, Removal and Replacement of all Filters Demonstrate use of vendor supplied test equipment. The vendor will be responsible for: Administering and scoring a post written test and a practical evaluation to measure and demonstrate knowledge and skill transfer Recording attendance using DART’s approved attendance form Delivering all attendance forms, completed tests, and course evaluations to the DART training representative immediately following the completion of the class Providing DART approved end-user training manuals / guides for each student DART will provide: classroom, chairs, tables, marker board, projector, and other classroom equipment as necessary
