Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1)The Contractor will provide all labor, transportation, packing materials, Masonite for floor protection and equipment required to relocate office furniture, equipment and supplies, computers and relatedmaterial including fragile, overweight,and oversized items. 2)Contractor willfurnish certified personnel experienced in the installation of Prison Industry Authority(PIA), Haworth and Allsteel modular systems to complete services at the location(s) identified. 3)Services are as-need and dates are subject to change. Specific dates will be provided as soon as conformations of projects have been determined. The Contractor willbe notified byCDFW and must beprepared to beginthe actual physicalreorganization of equipment or specified modular components as requested under this agreement on the specified date. If it becomes necessary to reschedule a reorganization date or modify stages of theservice, the moving company will be notified in writing at the earliest possible date prior to the scheduled date.4)The Contractor mustmaintain effective communicationwith the CDFW Contract Manager or specified staff personnel during moves or modular reconfigurations. The Contractor mustfollow onlythe direction of theCDFW Contract Manageror their designeeand not the program staff. If the Contractor does follow directions of the program staff, and that direction causes additional expense or additional hours, those hours will be deducted from theproject costs. Each supervisor of the Contractor will provide their pager numbers and cell phone numbers to the CDFW Contract Managerprior to beginning any work. 5)Pre-Move Planning Services –Upon request, the Contractor willprovide competent and experienced personnelto assist in the planning stages prior to the actual physical relocation of staff. It is essential that the move planning ensure the CDFW’s continued ability to operate and provide services to clients duringthe move period.The Contractor’s pre-move planning responsibilities include, but not be limited to the following:a.Assign only competent and fully experienced supervisors/foremen, certified on installation ofPIA, Haworth, and Allsteel modular systems, to direct MSF work. Such persons must be identified by name to the CDFW Facility Analystprior to the move.b.Attend pre-movewalk-throughs or meetings upon request.Meetings may be scheduled by the CDFW Facility Analystand will be held at either the job locationand/or at a location to be determined by CDFW. The Contractor mustbe notified days in advance of a scheduled meeting. c.Provide auto-folding boxes, carts, fifteen (15) labels for each office/cubicle andblank color-coded labels as needed. The labels must not harm finished woodor painted surfaces.d.Provide “tie tags” for all chairs included in a move. “Tie tags” refer to numbered paper tags with strong ties and a detachable receipt portion also numberedwith the tie tag number.e.Notify the CDFW Contract Manager prior to each scheduled move, of areas within the existing and new building(s) that may need to be modified in order to move oversized equipment in or out of the facility.f.Identify the need for, and furnish, cranes or other specialty equipment needed to accomplisheach phase of the move.g.Identify an appropriate means of moving all items that will not fit in the specified elevators and obtain approval from the CDFW Contract Managerprior to the scheduled move.h.Obtain parking permits, if necessary, from the City’s parking department for facilities who do not have free street parking or loading docks.
