Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed project consists of four main tasks, described below. 1) Conduct a surficial geological survey of the Lake Carmi Watershed and Map Area A (Figure 1) that will implement a standardized list of map units, and symbology and descriptions for surficial maps in Vermont, as described in Appendix A entitled “Vermont Surficial Geologic Mapping Standards”. 2) Create a final surficial geologic map of the combined Lake Carmi Watershed and Map Area A areas (Figure 1) at a scale of 1:12,000 with descriptions of map units, locations of field stations, and 3 cross sections. Deliver files using the standard map unit nomenclature shown in Appendix A. 3) Create groundwater resource maps of the combined Lake Carmi Watershed and Map Area A areas (Figure 1) at a scale of 1:12,000 that include separate depth to bedrock, water well locations, and assessment of infiltration potential (porosity and permeability) maps. 4) Submit a detailed written report of findings and glacial history.
