Specifications include, but are not limited to:The University of Texas at Tyler seeks to building a Science/Technology/Engineering/Math (STEM) – Business Building, renovate the current Business Building and construct a new parking garage adjacent to the new STEM – Business Building. The new construction portion of the project will include approximately 140,000 GSF and will provide much needed space for classrooms, student learning, teaching laboratories and faculty offices. Approximately 70,000 GSF of this space will be shelled out for future needs. We anticipate a total project cost of approximately $533/GSF for the new space, $267/GSF for the new shell space and $93/GSF to renovate the current 50,000 GSF building. This renovation will include the replacement of finishes, lighting fixtures, replacement of 500 kVA pad-mounted transformer and 800 A service entrance, supply a new fire sprinkler system and new AV/IT equipment. $1.0Million will be allocated towards adding a new chiller to the north plant to achieve the needed additional HVAC capacity to serve the new building
