Specifications include, but are not limited to: i. The Grantee will hire, supervise, and train the individual assistant hired through this grant. ii. The Grantee will hire an individual assistant that meets the requirements as specified in the Vermont Child Care Licensing regulations as a teacher’s aide. iii. The Grantee will ensure all required screenings and background checks have been met in accordance with Vermont Licensing Child Care Regulations as detailed in 7.2 Background Checks and Appropriate Clearances. iv. The Grantee will consult and plan with the child’s team which should include the individual assistant, child’s parent/guardian and the professionals supporting the child’s development and successful inclusion in education settings.
