Specifications include, but are not limited to:The purpose of this RFP is to secure the most qualified Insurance Broker to assist the Risk Management Division in fulfilling its role in evaluating the availability, options, alternatives, cost, and placement of excess coverage and related coverage for risks that pose undue financial risk to the State, including cyber liability and security insurance. 3.02 Scope of Work The State of North Dakota through the Risk Management Division is seeking proposals for consulting for Excess Liability Insurance for the Risk Management Fund and other operations administered by the Risk Management Division. The broker shall provide the following services: Make recommendations regarding carriers, coverage, limits, terms, conditions, and exposures. Provide excess insurance expertise and evaluation of market options. Obtain the approval of the State Risk Management Division or appropriate State agency prior to placing insurance coverage. Assist the State in marketing and placement of renewals in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Assist State with reporting and monitoring of claims and assist in advocating for the State on any disputed or problem claims. Provide answers to the State, and obtain clarification from insurers regarding coverage or claims questions. Attend meetings, as requested, with OMB and other representatives of the State and state agencies. Provide the State with a formal debriefing upon request at the completion of the contract. The scope of the debriefing will be limited to the work performed by the contractor. Provide assistance in the form of written reports or claims summaries as is customarily expected from a professional Insurance Broker.
