Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a consulting company to analyze all of their concession/rental business processes. The consulting company or contractor will hold at least one on-site meeting with each of the four state park managers and a department representative to individually analyze each state park concession/rental operations. The Department will supply sales and revenue reports, rental rates and other reports necessary to complete a fully comprehensive study. NDPRD will expect a very detailed recommendations report for the following items. It is not the goal of NDPRD to outsource any facets of their business. NDPRD may at any time choose not to implement any of the categories. NDPRD may choose to review additional state parks operations in the future. Concession and Souvenir Inventory: Identify core product categories Identify top performing product categories Review and identify product categories that are underperforming Review current pricing structures and profit margins Review inventory control and purchasing methods (identified state parks) What other potential items should NDPRD offer to the public Staffing Recommendations: Hours of operation during peak season, Memorial Day to Labor Day and the shoulder months of May and September. Minimum staff requirements during peak and shoulder seasons. Recommended management oversight – see organizational chart Rental Rates: Evaluate slip rental rates per location for comparison to the current market Are the rates equivalent to the amenities Price per square foot Evaluate long term storage lot rental rates Is the pricing fair compared to the current market
