The National Core Indicators Project (NCI) is an initiative designed to support states interest in gathering client satisfaction data within participating states. Data collected is used to observe trends nationally and allow participant states to determine how successful supports are being delivered as well as how states compare to each other. The National Core Indicator’s Project is a collaborative effort between The Delaware Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS), the Human Services Research Institute (HSRI), and the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS). b. Data for the project is gathered through yearly in-person consumer surveys (the NCI Individual Consumer Survey instrument) administered by state agencies to a sample of at least 400 participants, which includes individuals receiving Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) as part of the Medicaid HBCS waiver.
