Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor (driver and one (1) attendant) shall transport patients via ambulance between San Diego County Facilities and various facilities within the County of San Diego. 3.1. Advance approval is required of either the Psychiatrist or Charge Nurse on duty for San Diego County Psychiatric Hospital (SDCPH). 3.2. Units shall be staffed by at least two staff, one of which is an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B). 3.3. Contractor units shall be in compliance with all the requirements of the California Highway Patrol and each vehicle shall be properly licensed and insured as required by the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles. 3.4. Contractor units shall be authorized and permitted according to San Diego County Ambulance Ordinance to provide services in San Diego County
