Specifications include, but are not limited to:Inspection Services: 1. Annual inspections will be conducted at least one time per year for each crane/hoist one (1) to thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of its previous inspection at each crane/hoist location. All cranes/hoists require an inspection prior to November 15, 2015 and annually thereafter. 2. Contractor will contact the facility manager to schedule the annual inspection no less than two (2) business days prior to the proposed date and time. Contractor and facility manager must mutually agree on date and time for inspection. 3. Inspections must be performed on weekdays during normal business hours or at another mutually agreed upon date and time. 4. Contractor is responsible for providing a man lift to inspect overhead components. 5. Contractor will provide protection to OTAG property to prevent damage during the period of time the property is under control, or in the possession of, the Contractor. 6. Annual inspections will be conducted by properly trained and certified technicians and shall be in accordance with OSHA 1926.1412 standards, North Dakota Industrial Safety Code (N.D.A.C. 92-02) and all other applicable federal, state and location laws, rules and regulations. 7. Inspectors will: a. perform minor repairs/maintenance such as replacing or tightening bolts, replacing missing covers, tighten or re-attach control mounting, etc; b. provide and use lifts or other OSHA approved devices to closely inspect all parts of the crane/hoist; c. remove covers to inspect brakes, limit switches and other components of the crane/hoist; d. inspect and report on all lubrication levels as well as proper lubrication of all gearboxes, wire rope and load chains; e. inspect and report on all operating mechanisms; f. inspect and report on all structural components; g. inspect and report on all bolted and welded connections; and h. check all safety features for proper form and function. 8. Contractor shall provide an inspection report detailing all inspection criteria, results and suggested repairs. 9. Suggested repairs must be accompanied by a cost proposal for such. 10. Contractor shall leave crane/hoist in “ready to operate” condition except for any proposed repairs or maintenance tasks outside the scope of the inspection. Repair Services 1. In accordance with Inspection Services #7, Contractor will request approval from OTAG for suggested repairs. If approval is granted, Contractor will complete repairs in an expeditious manner. 2. Repairs will be made by a properly trained and certified technician in accordance with all the manufacturer’s instructions, specifications and requirements. 3. Repairs must be done on weekdays during normal business hours or at any other time as mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and OTAG.
