Specifications include, but are not limited to: Title X is a federal grant program devoted to providing comprehensive family planning and other elated preventive health services to individuals, prioritizing populations that are low-income, uninsured, or adolescent . To date, the Family Planning Program (FPP) within the Department of Public Health and Human Services is the sole grantee of the federal Title X grant in Montana. Funding is then allocated to contractors to provide: Education Counseling Referrals Comprehensive medical services By doing so, contractors help reduce maternal and infant mortality, promote the health of parents and children, prevent child abuse, prevent adolescent pregnancy, reduce unintended pregnancies, and reduce rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). For the first time in recent history, funding of almost $2 million is available to onboard new Title X clinics !
