Specifications include, but are not limited to:Provide a support base to grow business opportunities on the reservations: Work with the North Dakota Indian Affairs Commission to develop and enhance economic self-reliance, sustainability and equitable access to resources for Tribes and Tribal members. Develop and sponsor one North Dakota Tribal Economic Development Summit. The Summit should incorporate topics/themes related to sustainable business development including governance, infrastructure, finance and resources. Work with the Federal Reserve and one reservation to start the process to adopt the Uniform Commercial Code and other programs offered by the Federal Reserve. Develop and submit a funding proposal to Foundations or the Economic Development Administration. Develop key linkages with the Tribal colleges, Tribal governments, Federal and State Economic Development entities. Develop a linkage with the North Dakota Department of Transportation Disadvantage Enterprise (DBE) program. Development of the American Indian Business Directory and data collection of service calls/contacts. Develop a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Certification process for businesses to be certified as Native owned.
