Specifications include, but are not limited to:General Information It is the intent of these specifications to describe a medium-duty Para transit bus, designed and built to withstand the rigors of daily Para transit service. These vehicles will operate in a service characterized by low engine speed and high electrical demand. Vehicle shall be in accordance with all applicable FMVSS requirements and ADA requirements. The bus is certified by an independent testing agency to meet FMVSS 220 (School Bus Rollover.) Certification of compliance with this static load test shall be available upon request. Bus body shall be a current model year, in-service and including all standard options. All units or parts not specified shall be manufacturer’s best quality and shall conform in material, design or workmanship to the best practice known in the automotive industry. All parts shall be new and in no case will used, reconditioned or obsolete parts be accepted. The parts on all vehicles provided by the same manufacturer shall be interchangeable/identical. The bus body and frame shall be designed to operate in a Para transit service for minimum of five (5) years or 150,000 miles. The bus shall be capable of operating at least 30,000 miles per year including the fifth (5th) year. Vehicle must be Altoona tested. Report must be provided (electronically or hard copy.) OEM Vehicle Build Sheet is required for each offered vehicle. The Vehicle Build Sheet shall fully describe the same vehicles as offered by the bidder on the bid response. The offered vehicle must meet the solicitation specifications set forth in the solicitation for bids. “Shuttle Bus Prep Package,” shall be included if available. Failure of NDDOT to specifically identify Federal and State regulations in its specification does not relieve the bidder of the responsibility to meet them.
