Specifications include, but are not limited to: PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE: The project scope is to install automatic fire sprinkler protection (Wet Pipe) to the Alkek Interstitial floors 2, 4 and 6. The fire sprinkler piping will be routed for each interstitial floor from a new fire sprinkler riser initiated from the building physical plant. The interstitial spaces have low confining overhead clearances and limited walk and work space. Each interstitial floor includes HVAC main distribution insulated duct, main chilled water piping, plumbing piping, electrical distribution and electrical equipment congesting the work areas. Contractors should take all into consideration when distributing the new fire sprinkler piping. All associated fire alarm devices, fire alarm cabling, terminations and testing for the new fire sprinkler riser and distribution, should be included in this proposal. Electrical metallic conduit shall be installed by a licensed electrical contractor for all fire alarm conduit raceways.
