Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor shall provide equipment capable of supplying at least 34,000 pounds of known weight. Known weight shall include at least 20,000 pounds of test weight. B. Contractor shall check-in and check-out with the on-site contact upon each service call to provide verification the service has been provided. C. Routine service to be performed semi-annually. Contractor shall notify the on-site contact of the date and time the services will be performed one (1) week prior to the actual work. D. Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to protect service locations. Any damage caused by Contractor to state equipment, materials, or other priority shall be repaired or replaced by Contractor to the satisfaction of the state at no cost to the state. The state may, at its option, repair any damage and deduct from Contractor the cost thereof. E. Contractor shall take measures to see that all materials left as a result of the work shall be removed. F. After every service the scale pit shall be cleaned of all debris; debris is to be removed from the facility. The price for removal and disposal of hazardous waste shall be included in the amount of the service charges. G. Materials for use in this project shall be the best universal grade products of the types specified as regularly manufactured by the recognized scale manufacturer or as approved by the on-site contact. H. All materials are to be delivered to the job site in their new, unopened original packages and containers bearing the name of the manufacture. Storage on the premises to be as directed by the CHP on-site coordinator. Safeguarding and fire protection of delivered materials to the job site shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. I. Contractor shall conform with the Cal-OSHA requirements stated in Title 8, pertaining to confined space and entry procedures. J. Should adjustment, calibration, or servicing of electronic equipment require any software upgrade, a copy of the software or documentation shall be provided to the state at no extra cost. Calibration, adjustment and servicing of any electronic equipment shall not be locked out with a password or any other means.
