Specifications include, but are not limited to:The consultant will consider non-major alternatives (other than the alternative truck route to Mandan Main Street) that are not as significant in scope and cost compared to street or intersection reconstruction. This study should include: •Establish a purpose and need for the project •Analysis of existing corridors •Analysis of existing facilities (lighting, signing, pavement markings, sight line impediments and traffic control, etc.) •Cost versus benefit analysis of alternatives •Traffic operations analysis of existing corridors listed •Environmental and social impacts of alternatives •Evaluation of advantages and disadvantages and cost comparisons of the various alternatives •Impacts on roadway system intersections along these corridors •Investigation of the feasibility of construction of alternatives •Analysis of resulting capacity and level of service at major intersections • A recommended prioritized (by corridor) implementation plan • A truck origin/destination report for the Mandan Main Street truck route portion of study • A purposeful eye towards the Mandan Land Use and Transportation Plan as a guiding reference for the Mandan corridors and truck route portions of the study • Evaluation of possible speed limit changes
