Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Section 024114 – Roof Demolition a) Cut back roof membrane at blisters and remove to provide a smooth and flat substrate. b) Remove base flashings, sheet metal flashings, pitch pans, and edge metal. c) Lift skylights as needed to install TPO coated metal roof flashing. d) Remove other appurtenances that will obstruct the re-roofing project as specified on the Drawings, within these Specifications, or required by job conditions e) Remove existing wood sleeper supports. 2. Section 060111 – Rough Carpentry a) Install new wood blocking as shown on Drawings or commonly required by manufacturer or NRCA details. b) Replace damaged or deteriorated wood cants, curbs, nailers, and blocking as required by job conditions, these specifications, and as shown on Drawings. c) Replace all wood sleepers beneath mechanical equipment supports, cable trays, telecommunications equipment, and HVAC condensing units. d) Install wood blocking supports with straps beneath all electrical conduits, piping and condensate drain lines at 3-foot spacings. 3. Section 075417 – Fully-Adhered Single Ply Roofing a) Fully adhere high density polyisocyanurate board over existing roof membrane. b) Install fully-adhered thermoplastic sheet membrane. i. Provide roof system attachment to meet FM 1-60 wind uplift resistance criteria in the field of the roof with enhancements at the edge and corners of the roof. c) Work includes the application of thermoplastic sheet membrane flashings, edge and penetration details, and roof accessory materials. 4. Section 076201 – Flashing and Sheet Metal a) Install new pre-finished galvanized sheet metal counterflashings, copings, and edge metal where shown on the Drawings. b) Install TPO coated metal at the skylight flashing. c) Install galvanized sheet metal counterflashings at HVAC units, exhaust fan curbs, and other roof-top mechanical equipment. d) Install stainless steel sheet metal SMACNA boxes, pitch pans, and bonnets around penetration flashings.
