Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1 Classroom Requirements a Must be five (5) hours in length. b Must include, but not limited to, all information contained in the DMV Motorcycle Handbook. This information serves to prepare CMSP students for the written portion of the DMV motorcycle license/endorsement examination process. c The Contractor is responsible for developing and providing student access to the classroom workbook through a smartphone application approved by the CHP. 2 Range Requirements a Must be a minimum of ten (10) hours in length. b Exercises must meet the NHTSA Model National Standards for Entry-Level Motorcycle Rider Training. c Students must ride a minimum of twenty (20) miles during this portion of the course. d Shall not be conducted during hours of darkness. (No night classes on ranges.)
