Specifications include, but are not limited to: Out-of-state medical case management is case management provided to injured workers who receive treatment outside of the state of North Dakota. Out of state medical case management must be provided by a registered nurse licensed in the jurisdiction where the medical case management services are provided. All out-of-state medical case management referrals will be assigned to a ND Workforce Safety & Insurance medical case manager (WSI MCM) initially. The WSI MCM will manage the claim telephonically and request limited assignment appointment attendance or medical case management services through the CONTRACTOR, as appropriate. Contractor shall: Facilitate clear and open communication among the injured workers, medical providers, employers, ND Workforce Safety and Insurance staff, and others regarding medical treatment planning, functional abilities and restrictions, and related issues. Coordinate care with the injured worker and medical providers, to assist in optional recovery that returns the injured workers safely to employment in a timely manner.
