Specifications include, but are not limited to: o Conduct soil test borings to a depth of 5 or 10 feet below existing grade, as requested, o Conduct soil test borings to 10 feet and convert to monitoring well installations where indicated; o Maintain a boring log for each soil boring performed containing a complete record of soil material and water level if observed; o Abandonment of non-utilized monitoring wells approx. 10 feet deep; o Testing to determine: o Soil type in accordance with Unified Soils Classification System (USCS) utilizing: o Standard sieve and hydrometer analysis (ASTM D422 or AASHTO T-88); o Atterberg limits (ASTM D423 and 424 or AASHTO T-89 and 90). o Moisture density relationship (AASHTO T-99 or T-180); o Moisture content; o California Bearing Ratio (CBR) (ASTM D1883); o Resistance Value (R-Value) (ASTM D2844 OR D2844M).
