Specifications include, but are not limited to: Visitor Center Building – Visitors to the site will start their experience in this building. It will contain a public lobby, restrooms, an artifact processing space, and a collections storage vault. The collections storage vault will require specialized HVAC that maintains a narrow range of temperature and relative humidity. The following features and finishes are envisioned: • Slab-on-grade foundation (although drainage considerations may warrant a different foundation system). • Brick veneer, with wood or metal stud backup walls. • Standing seam metal roof • Sealed concrete floors • Gypboard walls • Suspended ceilings or ceilings open to structure above, depending on the use of the space • LED lighting Learning Center Building – The Learning Center will house teams of archeologists who come to the site to perform subsurface investigations. It contains eight guest rooms with bathrooms and a common area with a basic kitchen, as well as a laundry facility. The following features and finishes are envisioned: • Pier-and-beam foundation system • Hardi-plank lap siding • Galvalume R-Panel roof • Vinyl floors (planks) in sleeping rooms; ceramic tile in bathrooms • Gypboard walls • Suspended ceilings or ceilings open to structure above, depending on the use of the space • Synthetic decking at exterior screen porches • All appliances to be included in the turnkey project. Site Staff Residence – A staff member will live on site to provide security. The site residence is to be located near the site entry point, and will have an associated carport. The following features and finishes are envisioned: • Pier-and-beam foundation system • Hardi-plank lap siding • Galvalume R-Panel roof • Vinyl plank and ceramic tile floors • Gypboard walls • Gypboard ceilings • Synthetic decking at exterior porches • All appliances to be included in the turnkey project
