Specifications include, but are not limited to: All physicals must be completed no later than December 31, 2019. We would like appointments to start the week of September 30, 2019. Physicals should include medical history, physical exam, EKG, chest x-ray, lab test of fasting blood sugar and cholesterol, spirometry (FEC and VC), Snellen test and a blood test for lead. Individuals over 50 will also receive a Fecal Occult blood test (hemoccult) and males over 45 will receive a PSA test. All females will receive a pap smear if requested. Females are allowed to have their pap test with their own personal physicians. As of now, for Fire Department employees, there are 18 employees who need a physical only (5), who need a PSA test (13), and who need hemoccult plus PSA (11). For the Police Department, there are 33 employees who need a physical only (14), who need a PSA test (19), who need hemoccult plus PSA (12), and four females eligible for pap smear. These totals could vary slightly in number depending on anyone we may have inadvertently missed or if we should have any additional new hires during this process. If you choose to provide a quote for the entire physical, please also provide a separate quote broken down with the prices for separate tests that not all individuals will receive. Also please state exactly what procedures are included in the physical.
