Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Remove existing sealants at all horizontal and vertical control joints in the tilt wall construction. 2. Install new closed cell backer rod at a depth of one half the width of the control joint. 3. Adhere new specified primer and sealants (all) control joints. Sealant shall be applied per manufacturer’s guidelines. Depth of sealant shall be maximum depth of one half the width of the open joint. Manufacturer test required. Minimum of three pull test to be performed by the manufacturer. 4. All joints shall be tooled smooth. Finger finish is not acceptable. 5. Remove and replace existing sealants to ensure no water entry occurs. Application shall be per manufacturer’s guidelines and the attached specifications. 6. Exterior tilt wall mounted HVAC units and wall penetrations. Install new three-sided hoods with new marine grade stainless steel metal. Set new hood in elastomeric sealant and pin to the tilt wall panels. Seal the top and sides of the hood. 7. Exterior tilt wall panel mounted windows, cut back the gaskets to the glass and metal junctures. Cut back to allow new silicone-based sealants applied. 8. Abrade and prepare existing exterior wall and roof metal panels, all exterior door frames and thirteen cab windows for painting. Application of rust inhibitor/neutralizer and painted with two-part epoxy paint shall be applied. 9. Remove and replace surface mounted counterflashing on the existing metal panel roof at the entrance. New flashing to be set in elastomeric sealant and pinned to the wall system. 10. Provide a ten (10) year manufacturer’s warranty for sealants installed. 11. Provide a two (2) year Contractor's written warranty for sealant and epoxy applications and work performed on this project. 12. Remove all construction debris. 13. Contractor is to supply all equipment required to complete the project. 14. Contractor is to supply all materials required to complete and warrant the project 15. Applicable Permits are the responsibility of the contractor. 16. This is considered a turnkey project. City of Galveston is to supply nothing. 17. All installation shall be per The City of Galveston current adopted building code, ASCE 7 Guidelines, SMACNA Guidelines, specifications, details and manufacturer's guidelines.
