Specifications include, but are not limited to: HVAC & Electrical Renewal: Furnish and install four new air handling units to replace existing air handlers in basement machine room. Replace chilled water pumps. Provide Direct Digital Control (DDC) to new equipment in machine rooms. Remove air handler in 2nd floor machine room and route ductwork to basement air handlers. Remove and replace existing high voltage electrical gear and 480v main metal-clad gear with “Owner-purchased” equipment. Replace 480V feeders, selected branch circuits, panel boards and transformers on Level 1. Replace lighting inside machine rooms. Provide temporary cooling and power to portions of unoccupied building. Laboratory & Building Upgrades: Provide two new fume exhaust fans to replace the two existing fans on roof. Modify exhaust ductwork, and convert several fume hoods to VAV. Replace pneumatic temperature and pressure controls with DDC including conversion of mixing laterals. Provide controls to track and modulate air flows and room pressures in various laboratories on Levels 1, 3, 5, and 6. Provide minor remodels to rooms on various Levels.
